The Freedom Project
We have delivered therapeutic PhotoVoice-based participatory photography programmes on the Sahrawi refugee camps in Algeria for the past two years. It was during one of these projects that a participant asked, “How do you photograph freedom?” and ‘The Freedom Project’ was born.
We are now in the process of building a global project and we’re reaching out to different communities around the world to take part in and contribute to this growing exhibition. We want to explore a diverse range of voices and a varied experience of displacement through photography, music and creative therapy.
We are currently creating partnerships with a project in Rwanda working with street children & a domestic violence charity in Armenia.
